I love getting to photograph this family that will very soon be welcoming a new little brother! Laura and I knew each other before marriage and kids so it’s so exciting to be going through these big moments around the same time. And it’s oh-so-fun commiserating over the bewildering toddler moments we are dealing with – love those kiddos!
I think the boys are finally taller than me! I first met the Rayos family when their oldest son was a year old and now he’s possibly taller than me. Time flies! And I love catching up with them each year when we get to work together. The continue relationships with the families I’ve worked with over the years is probably my favorite part of what I do. It means everything to me.
I knew Ana and Jeremy from waaaay back but hadn’t seen them since before they had any kids. That happens when you live at opposite ends of a very large city and I’m sure 5 kids keeps them very busy. It was such a joy meeting their kiddos and seeing who looks like which parent and learning their personalities. What a beautiful family!
Surprise proposals are so fun and exciting! I can’t wait to see her face when she realizes why she’s there and what he’s asking her. I’m so impressed with how the family (parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) were able to get themselves set up with balloons and the letters “Will U Marry Me” AND remained completely silent until she took the blindfold off to add to the surprise. It was so fun to watch!
What a joy to work with this sweet family not only because they are lovely people, but they’re both dancers, and he’s a photographer! As a photographer, it’s a HUGE compliment when other photographers ask you to photograph their family. Of course, I feel the pressure but I enjoy it ๐ And I just loved meeting their sweet, precious little girl for the first time. Welcome (and welcome back) Salaz Family to Spring!
