Aubin and Jeremy decided to have an engagement dinner for their close friends and family and they hosted it at The Grove in downtown Houston. This intimate event gave them an opportunity greet and mingle all their guests while celebrating the beginning of their life together. A fun twist on the day was that they had four flavors of cupcakes from Sprinkles instead of a wedding cake!
A little while back I had the opportunity to photograph the Fred Astaire studio in The Woodlands and then earlier last year we did a similar shoot for the Fred Astaire studio in Sugar Land. It’s good to do something different and creative every once in a while!
Who else loves Pinterest?? I love pinning things that catch my eye but more than that, I love actually using those pins. What’s the point in simply pinning recipes or projects just to look at them online? So here’s the first one that I’m posting here for you to see. And you can find the pin on my Pinterest page on the board named “Pinterest – Did it!”. I was excited to try this one because I have so much rosemary growing in the garden and it’s probably my favorite herb. Give it a try for a very pleasant smelling home!
Everything worked out perfectly so that we could do a great portrait session in Galveston after their wedding reception and before they left for their cruise. I was so excited! It’s not often that we get to have an extended period of time to shoot on the wedding day without the stress of a timeline so I jumped at the opportunity to go to Galveston. We started by shooting at a miniature golf course then proceeded to the Galveston beach while onlookers enjoyed their time in the water. The session was wrapped up by heading to the strand and walking around looking for fun spots to use. I’m loving their portrait session!
these are amazing Dianna!
It’s a great honor when a friend asks me to photograph their very special wedding day because I get to part of their day in a very unique way! So of course I was excited to be asked by Jill to shoot her wedding. They had their ceremony at Second Baptist Church of Houston with the reception following. A few unique tidbits about their day: they had family that flew very far to be there with them, and Jill’s bouquet was made with flower brooches instead of real flowers. It was a beautiful arrangement
I can’t wait to show the amazingly beautiful portraits we did at Galveston on the beach following the wedding, to come tomorrow! And a big thanks to Monique Montoya for her help at the ceremony and reception.
I met up with the Young family in Houston to shoot them both in an urban setting as well as in a field. One thing I learned about this little lady is that the loves, no, not loves….she is obsessed with dogs. At the very sight of a four-legged friend she would go running after him.
As a children’s photographer I know that each age presents its own set of milestones as well as challenges. At 2 years old she is able to walk on her own and engage with both parents and the photographer. Also at age 2 she likes to be independent and run on her own. It’s harder to keep their attention for a long amount of time. So it’s crucial to have her engage in activities that will keep her attention as well as interact with mommy and daddy.
