It’s always fun to try new locations with new clients and that’s what I had planned for Erica and David’s maternity session. We shot at two different locations in The Woodlands and in north Houston. It was a perfect for pictures with great wind and perfect lighting and perfectly relaxed people that were looking forward to meeting their new son. Soon, we’ll meet this little guy!

Newborn babies are just the sweetest little things ever. The parents are both bursting with excitement and also very tired from a few sleepless nights. But I love celebrating the arrival of their new bundle of joy.
I was more than ecstatic to walk into Baby Avants’s nursery to find the white polka dot gray walls in her room! It was the cutest thing ever!
Without any preparation, newborn sessions have the potential to be stressful. But with a few simple instructions, it’s possible to have a stress-free session. That way mom and dad can actually enjoy being photographed with their sweet little one.

I love following wee little babies from newborn to their one year birthday. It was great following this little guy through his 3 month, 6 month, and 9 month sessions. I love those little baby lips!
As always, I strongly encourage bringing a small cake to a baby’s one year session. The came smash adds so much to such a big milestone in your baby’s life.

I feel like I’m always trying to catch up with blogging and this session is no exception. In fact, Baby Schaap has already been born!
I know that their little one will love nature and the outdoors as much as mom and dad do and it was only natural to photograph them in a very green and natural setting. They don’t just love the outdoors; they work in the outdoors and can identify every tree, plant, flower, weed, and bird they see. There are few pregnant women that I would ask to walk in water during the shoot. But Megan was willing to walk through water and mud if it meant getting the shot. It was worth it!

They keep getting cuter and cuter…..and rougher and tougher. This two brothers can knock each other time and time again and then they can walk off holding hands. They’re just typical boys with scratches on their face and dirt on their knees. And they can also be sweet when they decide to give mom a flower.
Oh, and by the way, they are my cousins. Look at those sweet adorable eyes!
