I get so excited leading up to the mini sessions because I know that I’m going to be seeing old friends and I also get to see kiddos growing up. It’s definitely one of my favorite traditions each year. It’s great seeing you all!
So many family memories are being made and preserved for the children you see in these photos – that is my mission and my hope! I know it’s hard to pull things together to get to the session, to get the perfect outfits, to make sure everyone is in a good mood that day….but it’s so worth it for your family to pass down photos to your grandchildren some day. This is what drives me to continue photographing children and families.
I’m so excited that I finally get to show Melva’s bridals from Moffitt Oaks! I love, love, love her unique look with the black lace and her beautiful hair-do! It’s SO Melva!
I love photographing this little guy and capturing him as he’s still a baby. Soon he’ll be a big kid and it’s great getting to hang on to the last little bit of his babyhood. Do I sound like his mother? Haha! I care so much for all the little kiddos I get to photograph and it’s so wonderful getting to see them grow up and become big kids.
One way to further personalize your photo session for your kids is to have them bring a favorite toy or something that they’re really into. It helps you remember this stage in their lives when they slept with that special teddy bear or never took off that favorite princess dress.
It’s not everyday that I get to photograph a super cute 2 year old in a tuxedo! His birthday milestone was celebrated through our photo shoot to create a wonderful memory for him and his family. The key to photographing children at this age is to just keep up with them! You watch and wait for them to do the cutest things and that may require running around and making a fool of yourself to get that smile. Whatever it takes!
